What To Do Today

I woke up and decided I better at least get into the camper and check things out, make a list of what I immediately see wrong, clean things up a bit, make a list of things I can buy for it. I have a few things in containers from the Little Red Camper Trailer but some of those I got rid of and some have been integrated back into the house.

I know it needs stairs into the back door and a large tarp, it needs a new queen size mattress, since there is nothing up there right now. Curtains too. It needs an outside door to one of the small storage areas like this one pictured but its on the other side.
Its already been painted part way inside so it would be grand if I can choose a new color and go for it in my own color choice. I could SO totally glamp out this camper!

When I go shopping today I'll check out the waterproof stuff that goes on the top, and if I happen to be at Lowes I'll check out their 'wrong color paint' to see if there is one I like.

Another Brother

Mom brought home another brother for me and he's small, like me. His name is Chevy Metro but Mom said we will call him Egg.

Egg was born in 1998.

Egg came with jewelry.
I'm jealous, mom hasn't given me any jewels.

Mom went shopping for him and he got new swipers for his eyes.

Fill 'Er Up

Mom has been coming inside me and putting bag after bag of stuff inside me, then leaving. Its all new stuff, she says its for the new cave Mom & Dad are going to be living in. I wonder if any of the new stuff is for inside me?

I'm kind of anxious to see my own new cave...

Jane Was Here!

Jane was here again today and Mom gave her the new vinyl to make me a new wrapper. I'm so excited, just can't wait for my top to be done.
Mom said don't hold my breath, she might not even get it onto me till next spring.

There is off white vinyl for the outer wrapper, clear for the windows and screen stuff to keep the bugs out. I do not like bugs.

Behemoth

My grandparents went to the Stokes Auction and brought this huge

behemoth
1983 Wanderlodge with 140k miles

here to live with us, or he is at least sitting in front of me in my yard. He is so big and I am so small.

Here is the living area, this couch is across from the sink.

This is the cockpit. Notice the phone?

Dinette

Shower. Lan can stand in it.

Other side of the bathroom. Notice the phone?

Bedroom. Lots of mirrors, tiny drawers and storage everywhere.
And buttons and lights, EVERYWHERE.
Notice the phone?

If you lay down on the bed & reach up, more buttons.

Small TV & VCR. Yup, VCR. I'm sure they work.

Central Vac!!

Looking forward.

That stuff on the floor is just more stuff they brought home.

See, more lights and buttons.

Wrapper Stuff

Mom & dad went shopping for new wrapper stuff for me. This is what they got.
Mom said it was an adventure and she had to do a lot of those to get this stuff.

Mom & dad went to Joanne's and Joanne didn't have white or off white marine vinyl.
I don't know why they want to be off the white.
And why do they want marine? I'm not a boat.

But marine white is what they got.

Along with clear vinyl for my top eyes.
And screen. And Velcro.

And mom is going to use some of the clear vinyl to
' Mickey Mouse '
the window in that little brat, Miata.

Mom has been having toooo much fun in Miata all summer.

Anyway, Jane is going to make my new wrap, just like she made my awesome guts. I can't wait.

Continuing with the mildew cleanup

Mom has been continuing with the mildew cleanup on my insides. You'd think she would be done with that by now but when she did it before it hurt her neck and she couldn't do it for a while. Then this awesome summer weather happened but I get too hot inside when its 86* outside.
And Mom has a job.
And Mom likes to ride her bike. Actually Mom has lots of bikes and rides two of them a lot.
And she has that beast, Wifi, that needs attention.

This was my top earlier today.

This is my top now.

This is inside my lid, it was icky too.

But Mom spent a few minutes cleaning it for me.

This stuff LIES when it says it has a FRESH FLORAL SCENT. It really smells to high heaven.

But it is getting the icky mildew out of me so its OK to stink a little.

And these things smell GOOD!
Mom & Dad went on an adventure and brought these home.

Remember Jane? She made my guts?
Jane told Mom she would make me a new wrapper for my top so Mom & Dad went to the fabric store today and checked out new wrapper stuff for me. They didn't see any white wrapper stuff but they did see clear eye covers for my top eyes.
Like this one:

Someone else made this new wrapper for their Hunter Compact.
I guess it would be my cousin??

Wrapper Work

I watched Mom giving my wrapper a bath in the afternoon sunshine today. It was awful dirty and it took her a long time to get it clean; I know its not all going to be spotless but it sure looks a lot nicer now.
Mom was talking to Dad about my up eyes, they need new lids. Mom said she will glue on new screen and maybe use magnets for the plastic eye lids.
Hhhmmm...
I wonder how that would work.

Gathering

Mom has been gathering stuff for inside me.

She got me a big red comforter to wrap us all up in

and a rug to keep my floor warm,

Dishes,

silver plastic ware that looks like the real thing,

 cutesy kitchen towels
and bowls.

There are teensy pans and a tiny teapot.

Mom has to keep it all small, you see. So it doesn't look too big for me.

Ha, I rhymed!

There are solar lights to show me the way and lamps to keep us together.

Mom still wants to do lots more shopping for me and she wants to do more of it at Ikea.

That store is so much fun!

Dad Shined My Lid

Dad and Mom were hoping my lid would be a bold beautiful shiny red when it was done
(its not done)
but it is sun burnt and has pitting in the red paint.

Here's my lid when Mom washed it, the black isn't coming off. Dad says that's OK because no one will see it anyway.

Here it is before Dad waxed & buffed it.

And here it is all finished and as shiny as it's going to be.
Not bad if I do say so myself.

One spot looks like I had a crack.

So today Mom got a bunch of new stainless steel screws, nuts, bolts and washers. I'm going to be sparkly and bright.

These are my old screws and washers that held on the lid holder on-ers inside my lid.

Mom took them off and Dad waxed & buffed my lid.

Here are the new screws, washers and nuts.

And here they are in my lid, just not tightened down.

Then Mom climbed up inside me and cleaned all the gunk off my roof from under my lid. Mom is not going to replace all these screws that are left up here, they are doing fine as they are right now.

There is still lots to do, lots and lots and I'm going to be feeling very good pretty soon.

Velcro

Mom ordered Velcro for my guts and it got here today.

It was supposed to be tan but this is white. Mom thinks this should be OK and isn't too worried.

Yard Sale

Mom went to a yard sale today.

What's a yard? Isn't that where those big birds live, in our yard? Did mom buy a yard?

So anyways, Mom bought a table. A cute little green one that comes apart and folds up inside itself then you put it back and becomes a pic-a-nick table. It weighs a ton so it should be sturdy, right?

And she got a Dutch oven kind of pan for boiling water over the fire. I hope she's not going to burn me.

But she hasn't spent any time inside me for a very long time.

New Flooring

Mom & Dad went to the Home Depot box store today and got new floor cover for me.

Its called TrafficMaster Vinyl Planks and the color is called

Old Hickory Nutmeg

Mom likes the feel of it, not perfectly flat like other kinds of vinyl.  Mom said it looks like fake wood and Dad says it should be easy to put in. He said it snaps together and doesn't need to be glued. They can put it right over the old green stuff I've already got inside me.

They had to buy 2 boxes of it even though they will only need to use a couple planks out of the second box.

If I look like this when its all inside me then I will feel like a million bucks.

Even though Mom & Dad only spent about $95.00 on it.

Mom says I'm worth about $1,500 now.

My Guts

Remember this box?

Mom talked into that black thingy and the voice inside it told her to open my guts and let them fill with air. This is what was inside the box.

This stuff was really heavy, 31 pounds shipping weight.

She had to unwrap a lot of plastic.

Then untie the top of the bag...
and WOWIE!
That bag grew big really fast! Suddenly it was twice as big as it started out.

Mom didn't want the dog or cat beasts to climb, pee on or chew so she brought them out to the cave and put them inside me.

I am the happiest camper in this whole cave.

They are long and white and firm.

Next week the voice in the black thingy said it will help her learn to make the covers.
That will make me happier.

I specially can't wait for this ally gator stuff to be inside me. It will make me mean looking.
