Rain, Rain, Go Away

Today its raining cats & dogs outside.

 

But I am cozy and dry in this awesome cave; I can see all around myself

and its not all dark and lonely.

 

From my front eyes you can see how hard its pouring out there.

 

Oh goodness, one of those cats leaked into me!

My Name Was Wrong

Mom just figured out that she has been spelling my name wrong for a whole year. She thought I was a HUNTER COMPACT II but in fact, I am a HUNTER COMPACT I.

See the sticker on the bottom of my door? That says it all.

New Cave

As promised, Mom and Dad cleaned out a new cave for me and Dad rolled me in yesterday. Just in time too because it started raining last night.

 

It looks a lot like my previous home with Grandma & Grandpa C., where I lived for 23 years.

I will admit I do look a lot better than I did one year ago.

 

What the heck is

that thing?

 

I don't looks so good. I need another bath and a good wax job.

 

I still need a few parts but I can be patient.

 

Mom still hasn't found me a new door knob.

 

Here is my new wrap, I can't wait to get it put up but I want Mom to do it right,

the first time.

So it's going to be sitting right here inside me until she has her ducks in a row.

 

But what are ducks? Are they like those beasties that came inside me this summer?

 

I have just enough head room to put my top up.

And that's where my new wrap will be.

 

 

 

See my one waxed spot that Dad did a long time ago? It's still a little shiny

but not a whole lot. I think living in this cave will be good for me.

 

Here's some funny gossip.

I just learned what gossip is! Mom was sitting inside me gossiping with Grandma B. about Behemoth and I was eavesdropping.

 

Anyway, they took him to that other country for the weekend and when he came back, he kicked the fence. Now the fence is broken and Behemoth has a scratch.

Mom wasn't too happy about it, now there is more work for Dad to do, fixin' that fence.

Wrapper News

Jane came again today and this time she left my new wrapper here, inside me. Mom didn't take any pictures and I'm very disappointed in her for that. Ugh!
But my new wrap looks wonderful and I hope hope hope that I can start wearing it very soon. Wouldn't it be cool if Mom put it on me tomorrow?

I overheard Mom and Dad talking about moving me but I don't know where, it better not be back into that dark cave; even though Mus Tang was a cool guy to hang with during the long, cold, dark winter. Wherever I go I hope Mom will visit more than she did last winter.

Remember Behemoth?

He got to go on a road trip with my grandparents. He is going out of this country! Grandma & Grandpa are taking him on an adventure to Canada for a wedding.
I wonder who he's getting to marry?

Jane came again today

But Mom sent her back home with my wrap. They stood outside talking, looking at it and touching it all over. Jane said shes got concerns about the holes needed in it for my screws that hold it in place. So they decided Jane would take it home and do some more work on it and bring it back later.

 

I saw some of the wrap and it looks marvelous! Its all new and pretty.

 

That's OK, Mom and Dad don't have time for working on me right now anyway, they are working on a camper port for me to spend the cold wintertime under, not getting rained on.

I'll be under one side and Miata will be under the other side.

Mom got word today...

...that my new wrapper is coming home tomorrow! Jane will bring it here for me at 4pm.
